School Ethos & History
Welcome to the “Kipepeo School Ethos and History” section! Here, we will take you through the journey of Kipepeo School, from its inception to its present-day mission and values.
Our Founding
Established in 2014, Kipepeo School is a private independent co-educational preparatory school located in Nakuru, Kenya. The school was born out of a vision to provide quality education and foster inclusivity within the local community. Kipepeo School began as a Limited Company with a share capital divided between two directors and Kipepeo Foundation Limited, a body corporate limited by guarantee and without a share capital.
The Inclusion Mandate
Central to the foundation of Kipepeo School is the Kipepeo Foundation, a small, local, family-run non-profit institution dedicated to the improvement of Kipepeo as an inclusion school. Inclusion lies at the heart of our ethos, and we are committed to creating an educational environment where every child, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds, is valued, supported, and given equal opportunities to thrive.
A Shared Vision
The directors of Kipepeo School also serve as directors for Kipepeo Foundation, ensuring a seamless alignment of purpose and shared values. This synergy allows us to work collaboratively towards our mission of providing a nurturing and inclusive learning space for all students.
Our Growing Community
Since its inception, Kipepeo School has made significant strides in shaping young minds and empowering them for a brighter future. Currently, we have approximately 300 pupils enrolled, ranging in ages from 2 to 13 years. What sets us apart is our commitment to diversity and inclusivity, with one out of every six students having special needs.
Empowering Through Education
In the 2022-2023 academic year, we proudly welcomed 275 students into our Kipepeo family, and we have secured an additional 25 students for the upcoming academic year. Our pupils receive a comprehensive education and various essential services, with tuition and other fees supporting these provisions.
The Power of Partnership
At Kipepeo Foundation, we believe in the power of collaboration. To further our social mandate and support students in need, we provide means-tested partial bursaries to some pupils. Additionally, we actively seek partners who share our vision and are passionate about creating an inclusive educational ecosystem.
