1. THERAPEUTIC LEARNING CENTRE offering Special Education Needs Development (SEND):

At Kipepeo School, we are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our students. Our Therapeutic Learning Centre caters to children with Special Education Needs Development (SEND), ensuring they have equal access to our school’s curriculum and social life. We offer a range of specialized programs to meet the unique needs of each student. Our SEND Inclusion Programme is designed to support pupils with additional needs through the following programs:

a) Early Intervention 2-6 Years:

In our Early Intervention program, we provide targeted support to young learners between the ages of 2 to 6 years. Our team of trained professionals works closely with students to address developmental delays and early signs of learning challenges.

b) Foundation Class:

The Foundation Class is specially designed for students who require a structured and supportive learning environment. We focus on building foundational skills in academics, social interaction, and emotional development.

c) Intermediate Class: 

In the Intermediate Class, we continue to provide individualized attention to students, fostering their academic progress and social skills.

Students in the Learning Support Class receive targeted assistance with specific subjects or areas of difficulty, enabling them to thrive academically.

g) SEND Assessment and Placement:

We conduct thorough assessments to determine the unique needs of each student and ensure they are placed in the most suitable learning environment.

a) Advocacy:

We advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with special needs within the community and society at large.

2. Therapeutic Rehabilitation Centre offering:

In addition to our inclusive educational programs, we have a dedicated Therapeutic Rehabilitation Centre that provides specialized services to support our students’ overall development and well-being. The following therapeutic services are available:

a) Speech and Language Pathology:

Our Speech and Language Pathologists work with students to improve communication skills, language development, and speech clarity.

b) Occupational Therapy:

Occupational Therapy aims to enhance students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities, enabling them to participate actively in the learning process.

c) Physiotherapy:

Physiotherapy focuses on improving students’ gross motor skills, coordination, and mobility, enhancing their physical capabilities.

d) Behavioural Therapy:

Our Behavioral Therapists employ evidence-based strategies to support students in managing their behavior and emotions effectively.

e) Psychological Counseling:

Qualified counselors provide emotional and psychological support to students, helping them overcome challenges and build resilience.

f) SEND Assessment and Placement:

Our multidisciplinary team conducts comprehensive assessments to ensure students receive the appropriate therapeutic support based on their individual needs.

3. Special Education Needs Development (SEND) Resource and Training Centre:

Kipepeo School serves not only its students but also the wider community by functioning as a Resource and Training Centre for Special Education Needs Development (SEND). We offer the following services:

a) SEND Assessment and Placement:

We conduct assessments for individuals outside the school to provide recommendations and guidance on the most suitable educational settings and support.

b) SEND Referral:

Our referral system connects families and educators with appropriate resources and services to address the specific needs of individuals with SEND.

c) SEND Training:

We organize workshops and training sessions for educators and parents to enhance their understanding of inclusive education and effective teaching strategies.

4. Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Programme:

We believe in making a positive impact beyond the school premises. Our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Programme involves the following initiatives:

a) Advocacy:

We advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with special needs within the community and society at large.

b) Community Outreach:

Through community outreach programs, we raise awareness about the importance of inclusive education and foster a supportive environment for individuals with SEND.

5. SEND Boarding Section:

For students who require a residential facility, our SEND Boarding Section provides a safe and supportive living environment. Our comprehensive care centre offers round-the-clock assistance and supervision, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our boarding students.
